As an aside, this program is fiendishly difficult, and yet once you get stuff going it looks very cool. Too bad I lost my first render of this image, I took it before I played with the terrain colours, so while the mountains are flat and grey, they stand out much more and look very cool.

2007-01-01: New blog for a new hobbit

Inspired by Art from a Ninjite, here's my attempt at the same thing. Good ideas Sares :D

One image per day, every day. I'm not an artist at all, so this will likely be either computer-generated or rubbish :]

This one is pretty rubbish haha. Quick mess around with atmosphere and lighting. Haven't figured out what that white line where the sky and earth meet is yet, but I'm thinking it has something to do with the cloud cover.

I'll spend more time exploring settings tomorrow...
